Wilderness Voice Simple vs Grand
To build our house upon the rock of obedience (Matt. 7: 24–25)—putting off the old person and putting on the new—we must have a definite plan for doing so. Growth in our relationship with Christ is based on placement. Certain things need to be placed in a certain structure, so that we can anchor ourselves to the things of God. That is why we need an intentional structure, a plan to forward and deeper in our development in Christ. Unfortunately, many think that this needs to be a grand plan; one that often seems overwhelming and too much to manage. The truth is that simple steps of intent and structure can lead to great increase in who we are in Christ. Planning to have your Bible with you, can lead to more faithful Bible study. Planning to say several short prayers throughout the day, can lead to praying without ceasing. When planned out right and carried out faithfully, even the simple actions can lead to grand results in Christ.
